I've learned it is dangerous to hold tightly to
illusions...

That a hug works wonders, even in cyberspace...

And "strictly dickly" is a term I'm keeping for life! biggrin

What an observation! Basically life is the same...we tend to all be reliving what others have already done, unless you are Aaron, who dares go where others have not gone before.

Damn straight... "You can't trust anyone" wink

and... there are really some beautiful people in this world, you (I) can sense it... no need for a physical image, although I would always welcome it. smile

... I also learned that there is a better world other than cleaning house (which I really love to do), but coming here to "orgworld" surely takes the pleasure out of what I use to enjoy away. I gotta find a happy median... and that is what I am working on right now. peace smile

... and one last thing, love can exist and does in the most beautiful of ways. heart

I know it sounds lame but being on the Org has helped me with a few things. I check my spelling regularly, LOL, I'm better at being clear & concise (I hope) and it helped me stop cursing so much, which is a good thing in my book. biggrin

When I first hit the Org, I went into attack mode on some arse who was going on about Prince, the baby, his marriage - all REALLY negative stuff, a really nasty post. My response to him was LOADED with curses, probably every other word. I felt relieved to get all that out @ the time biggrin but somebody responded to my post, saying that I didn't have to be so negative while trying to highlight the positive.

Now, we all sling things back & forth at each other, I don't know how many people take things to heart from this place. But this stuck with me, it's so simple & made so much sense. I don't even remember who it was that said it but I'm grateful to that person & those words they probably didn't think twice about typing. Maybe it was the way they said it, maybe I was just in a receptive mood that day, maybe it didn't hit me until days or weeks later but it had an effect & I haven't forgotten it to this day. Though I still curse, I'm not exactly the sailor I once was & I like that.

Has being on the Org taught you anything?

Co-sign nod Supernova would agree.

Yeah, but umm...I still like to curse A LOT! neutral

Yes: I've learned that

*I make it what I want or need it to be
*It's therapeutic for me, almost like journaling
*Most people try to be kind, decent human beings
*(Most people fail at being kind, decent human beings when their own interests are at stake smile)
*It's easy to flame someone publically; better to deal with them privately
*People are not usually what they make themselves out to be--even the best, brightest, and (apparently) nicest of us are prone to telling that which paints them in the best light at the time
