I never realized how "out-dated" a land line was..lol

i dunno..i just feel secure having one.

Im looking into switching from bell to cogeco, not sure if bell has a "cancelation" fee? eek

maybe they will make me a deal once they know i want out?

I got a home phone/broadband package
AUS$99 per month
all calls included (except international)
sad it's too much really

i pay about 100 aus for broadband (5gb $39.95...and a mobile ph cap 49.95 plis roaming internet access $10)
different carriers...and no landline

no more telstra fixed lines for me
no more telstra full stop when my mobile contract runs out

a lot cheaper than the $120-$150 i was paying b4

thats a good deal!!

I live in ontario,Canada where our dollar does not go far.. shrug

I'm with Bell (also in Ontario). My total monthly home phone bill (including taxes) is $24.87. Breakdown:

1 Residence line $19.02
1 911 Emergency service access $0.19
1 Touch-Tone service $2.80
Taxes $2.86

Bell will need 30 days notice...so gonna wait for cogeco to call me next week & set it up. .
Thanks for all the responses. smile
