Former NY Lotto Jackpot Winner Dies In Fire LANCASTER, N.Y. (AP) ―
A 51-year-old man who won a share of a $10 million lottery jackpot has been identified as the victim of a fatal fire in suburban Buffalo. Authorities in Lancaster say Roger Grandy's body was found Wednesday morning in the back of his ranch home where he lived alone. A neighbor and a police officer tried to get inside the house but were turned back by the flames and smoke. Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Grandy was one of three winners of a $10 million Lotto jackpot drawn in November 1996. Lottery officials say Grandy took his $3.3 winnings in annual payments. Grandy was employed full-time as an airport shuttle driver for a suburban Buffalo hotel. http://wcbstv.com/local/l...52196.html pretty young... [Edited 10/16/09 6:08am] unlucky7 reincarnated | |
