It looks so beautiful there







People ALWAYS give Africa a bad rap for everything but I seen some beautiful hot spots there.

I've been there quite often for photo shoots for fashion catalogs, and yes it is beautiful. However, one has to recognize that (as with anywhere) there is a disparity between the classes that can be stunning, and outside of the 4-5 star resort areas it is possible to experience severe culture shock. The easiest parts of cultural immersion for me was to dress modestly outside of the beach areas, enjoy the natural beauty between the landscape , architecture, and food, and enjoy free time wandering the souks, picking out tagines and other earthenware for my kitchen. Moments where I had difficulty adjusting included but were not limited to; observing the poverty that existed ( and realizing there were similarities and differences with how the poor live in my own country in the US), enduring the attitude of souk shopkeepers when we would haggle and I would win (as I generally do)... as a female I think it was expected for me to not be steely,determined, and well, to get what I wanted how I wanted it. Also as a westerner I had an attitude problem with not being able to walk into a shop and purchase a bottle of wine for sunsets on my terrace, as there is no liquor sold in public...then lastly coming to terms with the idea that everything good and bad related to my experience there all hangs on the balance of tourism supporting their fragile infrastructure. Without tourism (for however good or bad the experiences are there) there's no way to keep ordinary people fed and the place would disintegrate into a hot boiling mess.

But yes it is beautiful.

but otherwise i LOVE africa and ive been dying to go there for a couple of years now

But take my word, they're more civilized in many ways than most Americans will ever get.

Why? Simple kinship and hospitality. I've enteracted with so many people from around the world but from my experience, I found Africans & Arabs to be the MOST hospitable people I ever met. And the fact that people there actually do give a shit about each other, don't get me wrong there's dividedness & hostility just like any place,,,,but they're not the rule.

My experience with Morocco is that they try to rip off tourists whenever they can.

Greece is the best country for a holiday imo.

but this is the point that i have wanted to make Western media protrays a very poor image of the continent Africa and they want to give people the impression that Africa is a sad place full of starving children war and genocide and no improvement economic or social wise

i dont know why they would want to protray the continent like this but IMO me being a black person in the States and doing extensive research on the African Disopra and the continenet of Africa i think its safe to say that it is because of racism and the media doesnt want to show places where everything is fine and people are taken care of and its with blacks running everything i can go deeper but i dont want to bore you

but despite all of this including the terrible things going on over there and Africas brutal European colonial past the continent countines to stand strong and get itself together even though there is still a whole lot more that needs to be done i think they can make it

why the hell they ask those kind of questions.....we have the most beautiful and richest places in the world, from Egypt to Jordan (where i live) to morocco to Lebanon, to every part of the middle east, every country in the middle east has its unique tourism place, Its a great place to live in and we care about each other, at the end we are all human beings, no need for stereotyping or discrimination, An American girl called “orsola” came to Jordan with the peace crops years ago, and she stayed with us in our home for more than 4 months, we took care of her as part of the family , to the point that she didn’t want to go back to the Untied states , she started to cry , she didn’t want to leave , I miss her so much, I know she will revisit us someday ….we should all take care of each other at the end ….we are all human beings.

A friend of mine and her wife just got back from Morocco and Tunisia they loved it and highly recommended it, especially the overnight camel ride camp in the Sahara.

I've been to Morroco a couple of times in the early ninetees.
We were in Agadir and also visited some other places, like Marrakech.
I liked it very much and it's a beautiful country, although it gets more and more touristy.
The first time we went there there were only about 25 people in the plane and Agadir was realy something different compared to spain or any of the other regular holiday destinations.
The last time we went there a lot of it was realy aimed at tourists.

Everyone I know who has been loves it.
