Brutal Murder in my neighborhood

MONT VERNON, N.H. - The four small-town teenagers arrested yesterday in the brutal killing of a 42-year-old nurse and the maiming of her 11-year-old daughter stole upon a house they chose at random, solely because of its isolation on a forested patch of land along a dirt road, prosecutors say. They came in the dark of very early morning with a knife and a machete, intent on killing anyone they found inside.

This has really rocked our community. I drive by the road it happened on everyday.

upon conviction, let's have a quick execution for these sub-humans.

They've got no business sharing this planet with the rest of us.

I'm with ya...unfortunatly I read an article yesterday that as brutal as this crime was it does not fall under the capital murder statute. neutral
here's the snippet.
MONT VERNON, N.H. -- The killing of a woman in Mont Vernon does not meet capital murder criteria, according to New Hampshire law.

Under the law a person guilty of capital murder can only be put to death under certain circumstances. Senior Assistant Attorney General Will Delker said the evidence built in the investigation does not meet those circumstances.

Among them, the murder of a law enforcement officer -- which lead to a death penalty verdict in the Michael Addison trial in 2008.

Other categories include, murder while engaged in kidnapping, a contract killing or "hit," a murder after previously serving a life sentence, a murder with an aggravated sexual assault and a murder coupled with a federal drug offense.

"If the murder doesn't fit into one of those six categories, the death penalty is not on the table," said Delker.

Rep. William O'Brian, (R) Mont Vernon, said that while it's too late to change the death penalty statute in New Hampshire this session, the killing of Kimberly Cates warrants a review of the law.
