WANTED: "gourmet" recipes for mundane foods

Doesn't have to be real gourmet per se, just fancy-ish versions of comfort food or stuff you feed your kids.

My personal fave? Grilled cheese sammiches:

-Two slices multi-grain, whole seed bread, spread with real butter. Margarine and margarine/butter blends need not apply.
-A quality mild cheese like havarti or brie.
-Fresh tomatoes
-Fresh spinach and/or basil leaves

Put it all together the standard way. Serve with homemade tomato soup. Canned shit does not go with a sandwich this fine.

I got one for you!

1 sachet of chicken noodle soup (makes 1 litre)
1 can creamed corn
2 egg

make up soup according to instructions on packet, add can of corn, bring to boil. Add egg and agitate soup with fork so egg sets in threads.

To make fancy, add dash of worcestershire sauce, cracked black pepper and some sliced spring onion.

All costs about a dollar too.

you can add some shredded chicken too if you like, and chili if you like it hot!

I don't know if this counts, but yesterday I made something that resembled LoMein but instead of noodles used Spaghetti squash.

It was really yummy! omfg
