women and violence ladies: is it uncommon for you to fantasize about hitting or otherwise injuring people who piss you off? does it matter if the offending person is male or female?
if you do have violent thoughts, does it take much to provoke this kind of reaction from you? are there any among you who are mentally punching out people who cut in front of you at the supermarket or steal a parking space, etc.? sorry if these are stupid and/or naive questions, i'm just curious if it is only us male hetero Cro-Magnons who have these sort of thoughts. gay men, what about you? everyone's a fruit & nut case

I have never fantasised about hurting anyone. The times I HAVE hurt someone were completely un-premeditated.

Violence doesn't occur to me as any kind of response. Even as self defense, I'd run before I'd fight back. I do not fantasize about it in any way. I honestly find it disturbing when people toss out sayings like "he should be shot" for something trivial and silly. |

When people piss me off I visualize it often. When I first started driving there was a woman who cut me off and I almost had an accident. I wanted to get out the car and beat her ass. But instead I took a deep breath, calmed down and went to pick my kids up. I would've been more pissed off if I got a late fee after going to jail ![]()

I find it just as disturbing when people say it about someone who actually HAS done something terrible. I don't want to think about it, that is why there are departments to take care of that stuff. I'm not a bloodthirsty type. My husband told me the other day what he thinks should be done to a couple of parents who have featured on our news recently for awful unthinkable acts. That kind of talk makes me VERY uncomfortable.

It is not uncommon for me to fantasize about punching someone until their skin breaks, their blood gushes, their tissues tenderize and their bones shatter.

I understand your stance on this but you would run instead of fighting back in self defense? I could see if it was a man who I know would over power me but in any other circumstances...

I agree. Doesn't matter what the circumstance, I don't like it. |

Very very very very rarely for me....it's perhaps once every five years or so when someone has done me some very serious damage, and usually then it's a fleeting thought.
Much more often is my brain going off at people in imaginary vocal tirades ![]() "...and If all of this Love Talk ends with Prince getting married to someone other than me, all I would like to do is give Prince a life size Purple Fabric Cloud Guitar that I made from a vintage bedspread that I used as a Christmas Tree Skirt." I don't actually fantasize about hurting people, physically
BUT if another person has gone out of their way to hurt me I do have uncontrollable evil thoughts of 'Bad Luck" going their way. Like I hope she trips and breaks a heel, or I hope her bra strap snaps, or I hope his dick falls off... ![]()
