Not really, the cold reduces their metabolism and nervous system they haven't got a clue what is going on - he should have put them in the freezer though prior to cooking to send them all sleepy. I would think putting them in the refrigerator is the best thing to do. They live in COLD water they might as well be kept nice and cold their last few hours alive.
As far as the scream? I assume that is a JOKE. I have never cooked a whole live lobster, if there is a sound it would have to be related to the water or steam being released between the shell and the meat. That is not to say they do not feel it or that death is instant, the just do not scream. But the sure are tasty. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |
