Didn't a pet bear just take a lady's face off a couple of months ago? When will they learn.

What goes around comes around. The travesty is not in her death, but in her treatment of keeping wild animals caged.

NO wild animals as pets, PERIOD!!!!! I'll co-=sign that. While we're at it, people REALLY need to stop keeping wolf dogs as pets. Just because Fido is half domestic dog does not mean the wild animal's instincts have necessarily been quelled. There was an article in the Vancouver Sun recently about the dangers posed by feral wolf dogs. If the ones running around in the forest are so dangerous, what would make anyone think it's a good idea to keep one as a pet? It's insane. I know some macho types are attracted to the notion of "owning" a wild thing, but frankly, those people are idiots. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

The bear did a perfectly good job. Good on the bear, it didn't die in vain. One less moron in the world, and perhaps two or three learned not to keep bears in cages - or maybe just to not go in the cage at feeding time. [Edited 10/6/09 15:02pm]
