Ok Yes or NO, Do ALL stalkers will go through a womans bathroom (or mans bathroom) no matter what???

That question is ludicrous. falloff

But since you asked, I'll answer. Most likely, yes. A serious stalker will stop at nothing to get at the object of their obsession.

So -answer my question, please. What make segregated washrooms any more safe than if we had unisex ones? Nothing, so far as evidence would show. At best it's an illusion of safety.

They must be more safe else we would have even higher incidents of rape/assault in bathrooms.

What is the benefit of having unisex bathrooms? The lines aren't going to be any shorter, the bathrooms won't be any cleaner, people won't feel any more comfortable or safe. I don't want to walk into a restroom with a bunch of dudes lined up against the wall pissing. I'm sure my guy friends don't want to walk into a restroom and listen to a bunch of women dropping their mudpies and gossiping and watching them re-apply their makeup. Come to think of it...guys are better off having their own restrooms. falloff

this is the question
so many people have already said they wouldn't want it
If people are desperate they break the rules anyway, so what's really wrong with the current system (except that public restrooms are hopelessly gross)?

What thee fuck? A 'not so serious stalker"? Honestly, I don't even know where to start with this silliness. falloff

in all fairness, there are people who never act on their fucked up desires simply because it's not convenient or accessible....visit any adult chatroom or imageboard and you'll find that there tons of pedo/slasher/stalker types out there and they're certainly not all fulfilling their twisted dream...

That's true, and thank whatever God there might be for that. Personally, I don't much care if someone has pedophilic or rapist tendencies as long as they never act on it. Intrigued as to why some humans develop those urges and whether or not they can be prevented, but that's probably for another discussion.

That said, if someone really is determined to rape a stranger (which is incredibly rare, btw. A person's more likely to be raped by a friend or family member than they ever will be by a stranger in a public washroom) or abduct a child they'll find a way to do it. Gender segregated bathrooms offer only an illusion of safety, not actual safety.

And I asked how.

It's not a real barrier, obviously, a guy can go into the ladies' room if he wants. But right now if a guy goes into the womens' room, someone might notice right away that something's wrong.

If there's no segregation, then there's no reason to suspect that anything is wrong until it's too late. Hell, even if it's not for an assault, some guys get off on seeing women shit & piss.

lordy it's horrible that we even need to be having this discussion! I think guys are gross, if I could not share a restroom with them I would, i don't understand a woman not caring! lol

Maybe it's an after effect of spending so much time gay establishments, but I just don't think it's a big deal.

As stranger rape is fairly rare, I don't think the number of reported bathroom rapes would increase or decrease regardless of what kind of facilities we have. A woman has more to fear in her own home, her place of worship, her job, than she does in the loo at WalMart. That's sad and fucked up, but it's true.

Provided there are still stalls for privacy, of course. Why do we even bother separating mens and womens washrooms? confuse

A lot of gay clubs and bars, and even trendy upscale restaurants already have unisex washrooms so it's not as if men and women peeing in the same room is unheard of. I know if I'm out somewhere and the line for the ladies' room is too long I'll just duck into the usually mostly empty mens' room to do my business. shrug

Because boys piss on toilets.

...and I don't like them around if I have an emergency and need to change a tampon.

End of.

they AREN'T sitting - squat and hover, or at the airports especially, those not used to western toilets are standing on the seats.

Standing practice is not allowed, there are signs all over the toilets stating this and those women are pulled up on it, it's quite a sight. In saying that I'm sure there are still some sitting and doing a piss arse job of that. Regardless I don't understand why these women find it so hard to clean up after themselves.

I have to agree with you there. I am not a public toilet sitter, period. I would be what is known as a squatter. But luckily I have great aim, and have been raised to clean after myself regardless. It's just simple consideration for those who will be following you.

Women piss on toilets just as often, trust me.

You're playing in the ol' ragtime band? That's what privacy stalls are for.

Whether I sit or squat depends heavily on the cleanliness of the area. Lucky I have strong leg muscles and good aim, too. lol

Hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do lol

..actually it isn't as if I don't ever go to the men's room if nature calls (at least in Hamburg), or into unisex lieus in (upscale) establishments (gay or straight). But that's not the sort of thing I would reccommend in Yankee Stadium. On thing about Germany is that they have bathroom attendants in nearly all public places, and tipping or a small fee is required on entering or departing. The bathrooms, unless you are in the red light district crapola bars, or the occasional main subway stations are spotless. In small establishments, the attendant will often direct the ladies to use the men's room in case of emergency and it is free with no boys inside. They just politely ask that you refrain from adding a 3rd coat of make-up and taking time to tweeze your eyebrows in case there may be a gentleman waiting politely for your exit lol
