this should serve as a reminder that it hasn't been that long since she was killed. We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

I've had some very unpleasant dreams since reading the Diary, but I'm not sorry I did. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

A great documentary is "Anne Frank remembered" by Jon Blair. Unfortunately I couldn't find the complete documentary but the last part is on youtube.
Here is part 1: It is impossible to imagine what it was like in those concentration camps. [Edited 10/6/09 11:24am] Formerly known as Parade @ HQ and formerly proud owner of www.paradetour.com

I actually went to the Anne Frank house before I'd read the book, and even with the incomplete picture of the events I had in my mind then, being where it all took place was deeply unsettling. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I felt awkward at the "souvenier shop". The sales person looked at me and knew I was going through it. She was sweet. I didn't really feel it would be appropriate to linger in a store after the house, so I left pretty quickly. Didn't get much of a feel for the shop. Overall in that building is a certain sombre, respectful quiet, like in a mausoleum. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
