are you a re-gifter? Do you re-gift? Hell yeah. Sometims there are like 5 xmas gifts received that go to someone else..many times becasue there just wasn't time to pick up something for someone on the way to visit etc or we forgot someone. Good things to regift:
Dishes Glass sets Picture Frames This year we did not have to regift one thing all useable gifts well we could have regifted the dried fruit hehe but that was the weakest gift recieved and from a teacher and it makes for a decorative set piece. "Climb in my fur." | |

Now that I have kids I re-gift a bit.
You know, they get repeat presents alot or stuff they're not interested in. I tend to pass them on to other kids I may have forgotten to buy a gift for. Cousins kids and the like. Only once, and I fully admitted that it was a re-gift and thus "didn't count" as a "real" gift. In our firm's holiday white-elephant gift exchange, I wound up with a bunch of vanilla-scented stuff like body lotion and bath oil (the gifts were ultimtely distributed randomly).
My wife loves vanilla, so I gave them to her, but as I said, I explained that it was a re-gift. We once got re-gifted with a Braun electric toothbrush kit. That's all very nice, but... 1) Is it really any better than a simple manual toothbrush, which is much more convenient for traveling? 2) At the time, we lived in an apartment with only one bathroom, and it had a pedestal sink--no counter space whatsoever. So where were we going to put it? I put the electric toothbrush kit up on eBay and made a quick $50. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |
