I Can Do Bad All By Myself reviews?

Note please no Hating in here about Tyler...leave all the negative things you think about him beacuse that has nothing to do with the movie.

I hear it got mixed reviews. A 66% rating on Rotten Tomatos. But It all comes down to what the individual took in of the flick. Did anyone get 2 c it? Planning on it this week.

I saw it and liked it.
Pretty predictable.

Certain scenes made me cry. I guess if u can relate to the storyline, it'll hit home.

Wouldn't say its his best, but all in all, still loved it. biggrin

I can relate to it a bit. My mom wasnt exactly young when she had us however she did used to go to the club and drink from time to time leaving us with our Aunt or Grandmother. Being grown now I understand she just needed some time away from us. Intrested to see how this storyline goes. How was Madea?

But aren't all his movies predictable though? I'll wait until this hits DVD. I can wait a few more months.

nod thats the way I see it too. don't forget some plot holes in the script too. I get what he's trying to do, and I'm not hating, but I've seen better movies by other african american filmmakers. And Tyler's films are redundant.

I saw the movie friday with my wife. We both enjoyed it. It was well done IMO. I thought it was one of his better efforts. It conveyed a roller coaster of different emotions.

I admit they are sometimes...however I see a diffrent TYPE of drama in all his plays and movies. I take them as Soap operas. nod

Each film deals with a diffrent theme...sometimes characters come back from diffrent movies / plays and deal with diffrent things too. There arent enough black films out there right now to keep me as intrested and intrigued as Tyler's films, and when there is one they come a dime a dozen. Most of the really goodblack films I rememebr the past 7 years now have been his.

I was going this weekend but I forgot until I heard on the radio this morning that it was number one at the box office. Generally speaking I like his movies and hate his sitcoms.

I saw it this past weekend. It was really good. Even my parter really enjoyed it. It reminded me of ALOT of the things my mom went through growing up to having dudes pay her bills and her drinking and clubbing to the abuse she had in the past. However she was never selfish like Taraji's character. the film was really funny and really sad in parts. I'm glad that the "love story" was not mushy at all and they didnt run on it way too much like he did in meet The Browns. It was a bit reliant on an old theme presented in Madea's Family Reunion but it came in full fledged nature in this film with Brian's character on the 16 year old girl. 3 out of four stars for me. One star taken off for too many music sections.

Most of her (Madea) movies have the same plots but I DO want to see this one. The lead actor so handsome.

I expected it not to suck so much. I know you like Tyler & will defend whatever he puts out & that's great. But the writing was bad, the pacing was off, I hate that he takes good actors & puts them in the dullest circumstances. Everyone's attitude was shitty in the movie, I just couldn't deal w/ it. & I was willing to stay (as I don't like walking out on movies) but Lil' Man wanted to leave falloff Sorry, it just wasn't good. It happens comfort

I loved it, I really did. It's probably the funiest TP movie I've seen yet. I was rolling in my seat. Taraji was GREAT in the film, hell everybody was perfectly cast in there. Adam Rodriguez, my God, he's so muy caliente! I loved it and I wouldn't mind seeing it again before it leaves the theaters.

Wasnt he fine!?!? Tyler always got some fine ass dudes in his film.

The one that really suprised me though was Mary & the girl that played the 16 year old. I had no idea that Mary was the Bartender lol. man when Madea was reciting passages I almost died!!!
