Anyone here read this book? Your thoughts?

I finally finished reading it after being bored with it a few times and putting it aside.

Physically abused by mother (beatings), raped, becomes a stripper, marries an abuser has a child and runs away from him, drugs and prostitution (hooks up mostly with top name rappers)... writes a book to warn others of her "mistakes".

I heard a lot of her interviews but never read the "book". Supahead continued a lot of the same type of behavior AFTER this book was written. She wrote it to make $$$, trust it was no "cautionary tale" or "don't make the mistakes I made" message.
I don't think she regrets a lot of the things she's done "including a porn video with Mr Marcus", she's just embarrassed that her reputation became public and figured why not profit from it. The person to feel bad for is her son. He'll soon be old enough to read or hear about ALL of Mama's exploits.

What do I think?

I think Karrinne Steffans is full of it.

Although I am very sad that she endured the tragedy of rape, I don't buy her motivation for writing about hercautionary tales at all and think she's just trying to jerk the public's chain for money. Well, actually, she's already milked the public to high heaven and has made a fortune after 3 books. Still, people are starting to see through her victim role, her Vixen moniker has been worn to death, and her brand is wearing thin. Hopefully she'll take her bounty like the con artist she is, wise up, and get lost. I've never seen a person so blatantly two faced about their actions and how they've been redeemed by them as this broad. While I believe very much she was victimized sexually,everything else that comes out of her mouth reeks of an opportunist and pathological liar...with potty mouth

This DVD is brutally honest, the people interviewed in here ripped her to shreds...


I heard the interview she did for Hot 97. when a woman called and put her on the spot about the daughter she didn't talk about in the book, she(Karrine) walked out on the interview.

I'm in no moral position to judge her for not being strong enough to break the vicious cycle she was born into,,,,she's an adult, she can take what she ditches out, and when it comes rolling back to her,,,its a mutha! But I pray that she gets help, if not for her then at least for the sake of her children so they won't inherit her baggage.

To be honest though, the only 2 things that bothers me is the lil' girls who might stumble on her supposedly "wealth of literature" god forbids and consider her overview on life "the gospel truth". The other thing is the claim that she abuses her child,,,,if its true, I hope something gets done.

So broads will do anything for money.

No sympathy for that dirty stank ho. She is nothing more than a prostitute who will do anything and anyone for money. Big whoop.

I do feel sorry for her because of the beatings she had received as a child from her mother... I mean no child should have to endure that especially from their own mother as it often shapes their personalities in life. Also to a child their mother is next to God in importance.

However taking drugs and prostitution.. I mean, come on!!! she doesn't have to do that! Where is her self respect and dignity?
Also there was one part in the book where she meets P Diddy and he says... "I like you, can I have you?" She is with another rapper at that party and has sex with him before going to meet Diddy. That really stood out to me like a red flag, like reality is stepping out and insanity is stepping in.
