I liked it. It's definitely much better than Blair Witch, which was dull as hell. PA drags a little bit and is a little too long, but it has some really good touches if you don't, you know, think too logically about it. But it's a fun scary movie, even if it's not brilliant or anything. (Don't go for the acting either.)

Awww, I guess you and I have opposite tastes in this kind of stuff. I loved this one and "Zombieland" and you didn't like either.

Expect a LOT of spooning tonight!

Last night, I woke up four or five times (like I always do, for some reason) and the first thought wasn't the usual "I have to go piss" it was "I hope that damn demon isn't here". LOL.

Here's the alternate ending for "Paranormal Activity". It's not as good as the one they chose, IMHO.

Yeah, the ending they used was much better than this. I think I read somewhere that Steven Spielberg suggested the movie's new ending.

I downloaded the movie on line and didn't realize that there's a whole different entire ending. There's also a lot more footage of the girl they find on the website.

MORE footage of her? I don't think I'd be interested. The movie was plenty long enough as it is.biggrin

Did you like the movie?

I loved the movie. I don't know why it got under my skin. I'm a huge horror fan so it takes a lot to scare me or creep me out. The alternate version was fun for me but that's all. I'm glad they chose to release the other version although I do hate the last nano-second of it.

The whole Diane exorcism part was kinda crazy although one tiny part was cheesy. It was too much "THE EXORCIST" but when I was watching the original I wished that they showed more of it.

Saw it last night. I liked it...MUCH better than Blair Witch. Good fun ghost story released at the perfect time. I have never heard that much screaming in a movie theater ever. This is going to be a HUGE hit (I guess it already kinda is).

Did someone say Saw 6 was better? Are you kidding?

Read my response again I said "Saw LOOKS better"as in haven't seen it yet(the Saw movie) neutral and everyone has a preference of horror....imho it wasnt that horror worthy. And there are a couple of others on this thread that didn't like it as well. My idea of horror is situation of of the Saw movies bring(pain torture and etc.) not things that go bump in the night type stuff.

Calm down geesh rolleyes

There were people screaming when I saw it. Some people were laughing nervously or laughing at their friends for being scared. The audience reaction was part of what made the movie fun for me.

Interesting. Not the experience I had. It was dead quiet except for a few laughs at the lame lines now and then. Not a single scream.

I really wanted to like this movie but it was just very boring. It's surprising to me because my mind usually runs wild with movies like this.

Maybe you have to somewhat believe in demons and this kinda thing to find it scary. shrug

I guess it was just that it seemed to be really happening. Everytime that night vision started and that weird humming noise started...I'd get all tense. The scene where she gets dragged freaked me out as did the end. I can't say I was scared out of my mind or anything...I just thought it was a fun movie to see during Halloween time. I think the crowd screaming so much helped with the experience.

Movies I think are truly scary...The Exorcist, The Shining, Salem's Lot, Halloween, and The Changeling (not Angelina's movie...the old haunted house flick with George C Scott)

Just curious what movies do you think are scary?

I also saw it with a really great fun crowd in Santa Cruz California.
