Are you in debt? Just a Yes or No answer is fine.

Me? No.

I have several friends whose houses have been foreclosed upon because of the current housing crisis. Heavy borrowing and credit card spending to keep their lifestyle even though they can't afford it.

I never got into that. I don't try to impress anyone and I don't live above my means... If I can't afford it, I just don't buy it. Sure I have a credit card and use it but I always pay it off.

I know.. but I did not want to pressure people to reveal details of their finances so I just suggested Yes or No.

Until 2 years ago I had been free of credit card debt for years (still had school loans though). Then some shit happened, climbing my way out of it now. Hoping to be debt free again by next summer so I can FINALLY get a new car... & be in debt again confused

Yes - I have grad school loans (that's I'll probably be repaying until I die!) + 1 credit card that I could pay off with money from my savings, but I would rather have the money in my savings account in case I need it for an emergency.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

College debt from an expensive private school. Luckily, I don't have to start paying it back for a few years because I will be going on to get a masters (and in turn incur more debt, but probably at a state school this time).

I also have a small loan out that will be paid off when I get my first time home buyer's tax credit next year. Then my only debt will be my mortgage.
