It is raining here in not so lovely Massachusetts and I took the bus because I have decided to take my car off the road while I save for brand new tires that I don't have to replace every year. Well, waited at the bus stop A, my house is midway between two stops, truck after van after SUV soaks my ass as they drive by. Finally I stand on the entryway stairs of the property infront of the busstop. I mean maybe 3 feet back from the stop. Bus drives right by. Soaked I went home and through my coat into the dryer . Did the driver not see me ? Is he just having his own bad day so he wants others to feel like him? These and other things passed through my mind as I waited an hour (buses only run hourly on weekends) to tske the bus. I stood at bus stop B and low and behold the gutters were not flooded and busdriver actually stopped. Had to be the same because there is only one guy on Saturdays. Now here I am at the library on the org.

Another expense, getting internet at home. There are just so many things that I want and I am trying to cut corners to enjoy myself more. I forsee me getting internet before putting the car on the road. My life is just too too exciting

It's soooo fcuking hot outside too.....hottest today so far in Sydney's west is 41C. 31C where I am (thank god for altitude) but still I'm expecting a bitch of a lightning storm tonight because of the heat.

I've been up and down this week but had my best friend and two old school friends over for a serious drinking session. We went to the local and it was the first time I'd actually tried it since moving up. They have Guinness on tap so I definiitely won't bother trying the others. There was a group of very loud, very drunk, very fit lads there who were so pissed that they decided it was funny to dak each other. We met some lovely Germans who were in town for a wedding...darkest sense of humour I'd met in a long time.

Unfortunately it got out of hand. One friend was so drunk that she passed out in my study and snored like a steam train so loudly that I couldn't sleep. I went back downstairs to find the other two about to have sex in my living room. I assume they did after I went back to bed because it was slightly noisy.

I was the only one who could still string a coherent conversation together at the end of the night. I don't like alcohol.

These people are all thirty-something. You think they would have more sense by now.....but then again we did go to a very druggie high school and I guess some people never get out of it.

Another friend of mine came to visit the other day. I hadn't seen her in a year and found out it was because she has been going to AA. Now she is comfortable enough to be able to go to a pub and enjoy being with people who are drinking without worrying about it. I think next time we are all at a pub together I will enjoy her conversation and not bother about the alcohol myself....we'll leave it to the others to get blind.
