Did it rain that much or is there serious drainage problems
from such? I'm just hearing about this.

That is mostly from rain (from my understanding). It's not a surprise to me. I live in Dallas and we have gotten a LOT of rain over the last week. It's not surprising that the rain was moving east and got worse.

I am praying for the victims for sure.

One of my dear friends lost her basement (studio/kids rec area/stage, etc....) and a few have even lost loved ones in all the damage over the past three days.

Watching the footage of Six Flags underwater was too much for me to take.

My uncle said a 3 yr old was swept away and 8 other people died. He said his neighbor's back porch is sitting in his back yard. They weren't totally flooded out but several of their neighbors in Decatur were. He said he's never seen rain like this. Not even during hurricanes.

At least he and my aunt are ok.

I feel bad for all of the flooding which has gone on in the ATL. sad But then again, at this time last year people in Georgia were complaining about how they were in the worst drought in over 100 years. It was so bad that some lakes around Stone Mountain were literally drying up. Now nature makes up for it in a deluge.
