What could be better than being a fam in today's world? With the hectic schedules and the pressures put on people, it is quite nice to be able to escape from reality and just be a FAM! Famdom is much like living in a world populated by dancing pixies and gnomes, where you can have all the candy and wax lips you want and you don't have a curfew, bedtime or anything. Being a fam is magical and liberating! I like the idea of not thinking for myself.

I love being a fam!

Hmm, am I a "fam"?

I've liked/loved Prince's music since 1979...

I was in high school when 1999 dropped... it was a good time.

I continued 2 like/love his work after high school, was 18-19 or so, when Purple Rain dropped... another good time.

I write in Prince-bonics, but only here... (don't do the eye ball, or the other Prince-emoticons 4 speech, but don't mind others who do)

I come 2 a site called Prince.org on an almost daily basis, but I don't go 2 others...

I checked out amp.music.prince when the .org was down, but only once (DavidEye's suggestion)... saw Ben's statement and moved on.

I checked in here every other day or so, when the site was down... spent less time on the computer!

I'm a member of the NPGMC... might b my last year as member though.

I have a vast collection of Prince's music spanning all his decades in music, including boots and vids.

I've only been 2 one Prince concert, back in '96, and almost a second, but he fucking canceled at the last minute.

I've never been 2 a Celebration event or 2 Minneapolis 4 that matter...not that I wouldn't like 2 go.

Overall... it's 2 bad that on a site dedicated 2 Prince, so many of u diss him continuously, or those that follow his music and career.

Overall though, I come here not so much 4 the Prince updates (I rarely check out the PrinceMusic forum) but, like IceNine, 4 the people I've met thru this site.

Still, IceNine, I honestly believe there's no harm done when referring 2 urself as a "fam" or "friend" of anyone. I don't know what happened at PrinceFam.com or whatever site it is that got ur ire up... but can we not continue it here?
