My top 5 simple pleasures would have to be -

5. Laying in bed on a rainy night
4. An hour in the hot tub with a glass of wine
3. Watching a film, snuggled up on the sofa with chocolates and a blanket
2. Sunbathing
1. Laughing with my children

Laughing with my family, my mum is just so funny..
Watching the stars, dreaming
Watching the wildlife in my jungle of a garden, usually the snails, slugs, spiders and crickets, theyv'e become part of my family now...
Taking a walk on the beach, listening to the waves, tasting the salty air, watching the sunset
Observing all the children on their way to and from school
Watching the clouds roll by, branches of the trees swaying, dreaming...

Oh and...
Having someone else wash, dry and straighten my big hair

I know, girl cant count...

Right at this moment, I would be happy being able to sit at my kitchen table again.
We are in the middle of remodeling our home, and everything is outside covered under a tarp in the back porch.
I am having new floors put in, painting, some new lighting fixtures. I will also get some new furniture.
But for now, I could really go for sitting at the table, and not picnicking in the back yard for every meal.

1) Watching an old black & white movie (preferably Marlon Brando ), while sipping on hazelnut cream coffee on a cold or rainy day.
2) Reading a book with candles lit and soft jazz playing in the background.
3) Having a candlelight dinner with the love of my life with Maxwell playing in the background.
4) Walking in the park on a beautiful spring/fall day.

I'm having my bathroom done at the moment - Not quite as severe, but a pain in the ass none-the-less. Our builder has just snapped his achilles tendon so not progressing very fast.... fingers crossed that we're both back to normal soon.
