What's your talent?

How'd you obtain it?




I paint. My father was an excellent painter. One day I presented to him a picture of a bunch of stick-men doing battle.
He said said, "That's great son. But let me teach you about three dimensional perspective drawing".
I as 6 or 7 at that time





I'm currently looking for someone who can do this:


My quest has come close at times, but I guess that talent is rare.

Nothing, really, but I'm generally quite artistic so I'm an ok photographer, ok artist, am slightly musical.

I love singing but I don't know if I would really be labeled as talented.

I love to decorate/create wreaths. I am no pro, but it is very relaxing. I am great at raising money for my girls private school, I am the chairwoman for the annual carnival/music festival we hold in the fall each year.

I'm pretty good at leading conversations about contemporary art with the museum visitors to whom I give tours.


Edit: I would say that I obtained this talent by studying art history, utilizing the public speaking skills I learned in high school speech/spring plays, and practice/continual trainings with other museum educators. Giving tours is sort of like doing improvisational speeches on art; you have some key points you want to address, but a lot of the conversation is determined by the visitors responses to your questions and what they say about the art.

Everything, to a degree. Give me any task and I can learn it well enough to complete it fairly quickly and decently.

I can carry a tune, sew buttons and/or a straight line, hang a picture, change a tire, factor polynomials, paint a room (including trim) and/or furniture, color hair, sand down wood floors, write legibly with my non-dominant hand, apply make up, make a mean curry, pancakes and bake awesome brownies, pitch a tent without help or instructions, decorate a Xmas tree, shine shoes, compose haiku, balance multiple items on my head while sitting, standing and walking, catch a fly ball and so on and so on.

If I can't do something it's cause I either don't want to ( ) or haven't tried it yet.

But this means I'm not an expert in any one of those things. I have never been and will never be one of the best at any given task. It's like having no talent at all, really.

I cross stitch,but that's not really a talent,more of a hobby.

Talent? I write. I can draw. I am making some baby things from vintage patterns.
