Got a text message from the landlord last night. (Yeah, he has my cell number. I didn't give him the house number because mine is the only name on the rental agreement and I don't want the roommates to have to deal with that jackass.)

He said if the house doesn't sell by the end of this month, it's being taken off the market! Chances are, we aren't going to be evicted after all!

To be honest, I don't think it will sell. They're just asking way too much money for it. No one's going to buy it for anywhere near the posted price. Vancouver's housing market is ridiculous, but even so a person would have to be a special kind of stupid to actually fork over the dough our landlords want for the property.

This is such great news, because we'd all been worrying and stressing so much over what's going to happen if the house is sold. None of us really have the money it takes to move and look for a new rental, and I've already had to move 3 times this past year.

Things are still a little up in the air, but it's looking pretty likely we'll get to stay.
