My PIN #, I forgot it??

I need to get some cash out, but can't remember my PIN #. I kept putting in what I though was my PIN, and I kept getting declined.

Where can I go to retrieve my PIN #. Online?

I used to work in a bank, usually there is no way for pin retrival... you will have to be assigned a new one...Its a safety precaution... U can use your card as a credit instead of a debit but not at an atm..And i dont believe you can get cash over the amount of purchase in a credit transaction.. Sorry to be a downer! I hope you can rememeber it!

I don't know but call the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi and ask to speak to the staff on the fifth floor. They should be able to tell you since someone took my mother's credit card from her purse while she was sleeping, went to a mini-bank, drew out $300, and put it back in her purse while she was sleeping.

I'm confused. You can create a new pin number on the machine when you insert your card? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a pin number since the card could be stolen and the crook could be the one creating the new pin number?

My bank has that function on the ATM nod Takes a few minutes to be changed.

If you lose your card you call the banks customer service number or go to the bank to cancel your bank card ASAP. When you go to your bank the bank will issue you a brand new card which comes with a PIN#, if you don't like the # that came with the card then you can change it to one of your liking.

Yes but you need to know your pin before you can change it. The op has forgotten their pin, so can't even log in to reach the change pin option!

The bank won't know your PIN#, that's yours to know and not them.

I had forgotten mine as well... I don't usually use the ATM and pay for everything with CC. When I went to the bank they told me they would send me a new one in the mail so I had to wait.. mad

Dude, you might want to lay off of punching in the incorrect PIN at the ATM. Won't some bank machines swallow your card if you do that too many times?

Obviously, but the original poster has forgotten theirs. You suggested they could set a new one at the ATM, but they'd need their pin to do this. The best they can do is talk to their bank, who will advise the best action, which will probably be to issue a new card or pin.

Yep, the machines do that!. I forgot my pin # once (I was sure it was correct) but after the third time I typed in the pin # the machine kept the card! lol This was b4 a exam @ college too, so as I was in a rush to get 2 the exam, I had to go back later & see about gettin' my card back. I asked the help desk/customer service (or whatever they call it), told them the details they need to know (name, address etc.) and they opened the machine, got my card back, went to the cashiers in the bank and got out the cash I needed & they sent me a new pin # in the mail. So I'd advise against ever using an ATM machine/cash machine if you forget your pin #!.o
