she has an IQ of 140 and speaks five languages.

this reminds me, this friend of mine for some reason cannot accept her combination. she's like "she's just too damn sweet & humble for someone so hot & intelligent" lol

Am I the only one not smoking crack? Lady Gaga looked absolutely ridiculous in every outfit she wore that night! Just plain stupid. She tries way too hard, IMO, to shock people with her "outrageous" clothing and her talks about wanting to have a foursome with the Jonas Brothers. Blah, blah, blah. I enjoyed her performance though. I'm not a huge fan of her music but it's slowly growing on me, enough for me to tolerate it anyway.

LMAO I understand folk either liking or not liking or lovin or hatin Gaga's music.
What I don't understand is folk not liking her because she's too over the top and tries too hard to shock the public with her outfits.

We're on a fan site for a dude who used to wear bikini undies and thigh highs and granny lace shawls and all sorts of lace bullshit over his face and assless pants and high heels (still) and.... lol

No, U're not.
I didn't even know who she was till I kept seeing her name on here, so I Googled her and watched some stuff online... eek
Then I taped a performance of hers on "The View" because I was curious.
Since then I've been trying to figure out why she's so popular.
I know I'll probably get ripped apart for this, but I don't get it. shrug

That black outfit looks like an apparition from a bad horror movie set in an old house- she just needs to be transparent. And the white?! shake
I didn't see anything else because I didn't watch the show- did she change again?

Maybe I'm just getting old... grandpa

Prince's music and artistic exspession was always the selling point 2 me.
his image always fell behind the music...his ability 2 write perform produce
and play...With Prince the music always came 1st...he was always quiet and
let the music do the talkin for him...

I personaly like all the crazy fashion she brings to the table. Kind of reminds
me of andre 3000 in a way...

but its the ...5 outfits in one night, it's the billion back up dancers, it's the running around hollywood being over provocative, Making krazy comments like
having a 4some with the jonas bros, The blood oozing every where at the VMA's.
.....The music is not 1st on her mind it seems.

Prince can back up all his over the top antics...with wonderful art. That comes from his heart....Can't say the same for GaGa...her music does not have no substance.... rolleyes poker face

For me, tho, it's more of "Been there, done that" rolleyes
I just feel like she tries so hard- and it's all been done. David Bowie, Grace Jones, Madonna, Prince, some of the crap Cher has worn, Bjork.... I could keep going. When she was on "The View" she reminded me of Debbie Harry from Blondie. I just don't say "Ooooh....aaaaah..." when I see her. Maybe growing up in the 80s has done this to me. shrug

But it's her journey - she hasn't been there or done that until now biggrin She's having her moment & she stands out, nothing wrong w/ that. Sometimes she looks quite silly but here she's pretty fucking fab, imo bananadance

I was gonna say the same.
There's very little (if anything) that has TRULY never been done.
So what are new artists/entertainers supposed to do...nothing then??

Just stand there and sing in jeans and a tee.

Oh no wait...Springsteen and Bryan Adams have been there done that. Damn. doh!
