I could use putting on about 10-15 lbs. I'm nearly 6ft 4 and I don't think I'm even 170lbs. lol

Congrats to all you guys, Vanity, Adisa, Vendetta. That's awesome. smile

worship Congrats to you!!!! I've been trying to lose 40 pounds for the past 5 months...I'll lose 3-4 pounds, then gain it back, lose it then gain it back. I've been doing some serious exercising the past month and a half and I have more energy now than I have in the past 5 years. So I guess thats the important part??? shrug I think the reason why I haven't been losing much of anything is because I have an extreme craving for sweets and so I cheat now and then. But I need to get where I need to eliminate that, but its so hard. Then in turn I feel like I need to eat less, but my bf told me that, eating less isn't good because then your body turns on you and you end up maintaining or gaining weight. Right now I'm frustrated with it, because I really don't know what else to do. I've lost 20 pounds before, but now I've gained all of that back and then some which is why I put my goal at 40 pounds to lose.

But anywho, I'm glad yay! that you have lost that much weight on weight watchers. I've tried them and got frustrated with the whole writing down what you eat everyday and then getting weighed every week and going to the meetings, so I fell off. confused

My 2 cents: I've always taken the "eat whatever I want but exercise like a dog" approach lol But I found recently that food is the bigger component in the equation nod Your bf is right - eating less will cause your body to store fat b/c it feels like it's starving (someone else can explain it better but its totally true). The best thing you can do is to eat normal portions of BETTER food. More veggies, more protein, less carbs (& good carbs when you do eat them - whole wheat/whole grain, brown everything), less sugar, etc.

The preparation is key too - avoid frying, lots of oil/butter, the obvious things. Lately I've been doing strictly lean proteins & veg for dinner b/c I'm flaking @ the gym right now redface & the weight is still coming off (slowly, but coming off). It's about eating well & letting go of some of the things we all love. I still cheat in spurts but I try like hell to make up for it in the days that follow. Snack smart (raw nuts, fruit, plenty of water), all those basics that are often talked about but hard to do. Take a hard look @ your diet & make some choices, it gets easier biggrin
