OK, I've owned an entry level Cannon DSLR now for 3 years. Although I love the thing, I think it's time I start looking at sexier lenses than the one that came with the camera.

It's a Cannon Rebel XT DSLR 8.0 megapixal. It takes far sharper and more vibrant pictures than non DSLR cameras at higher megapixal counts, so I'm happy with what it gives me so far.

But I would love to be able to take a picture that just screams at me. Something stunning without having to use photoshop to enhance the visual appeal of the picture. I know 90% of that is just skill, but the other 10% does involve the lense.


Can someone help me out? Recommend something sexy but not uber expensive?
