I'm going to say "nay". I've seen him speak live and out of Madea character. He seems boring. Plus if he's trying to do the Arsenio or Jay Leno or even worse Montel shtick then he won't last very long.

I don't get why anyone wants to do talkshows these days, but I wish he'd focus on the quality of his scripts & direction instead

I hope people don't hate him, I certainly don't. I'm glad to see him doing well, however I'd like him to step his game up & throw some quality on the screen. He already seems to be stretched thin (or just not putting his best effort forth), so this will only weaken his product more. But hey, maybe that leaves more room to serve as producer to more talented writer/directors, I'd be all for that

Watch all of his movies(and his plays) and you'll see a pattern; black woman who've been been done wrong by men, only get saved later by men at the end of the movie.

Now when I see this get played in front of me what does that say? Black women are inadequate, weak, needy who's main concern is having a MAN to complete them or make them a person,,,,,oh yeah, or go to church

I don't know what his momma told him about black women but reality is, black women are waaaaay more complex, multi-dimensional and intersting than those pathetic ones he keeps talking about in his movies/plays.

The ONLY thing I could stomach from this man was Why Did I Get Married?. Everything else seemed to put a nasty taste on my mouth.
