$2,200.000

If you knew right now on September 21, 2009, that you were going to get a check for $2,200.000, what is the first thing you would do with it? I am thinking still what I would do.

errr, not sure til I understand what that number is suppose to be. If it's millions then I could do a whole lot of wonderful things, if it's just thousands, though it would be greatly appreciated and well used it really wouldn't make that big of a dent in my life.

To be honest...it would be nice....but $2,200 isn't going to make that big of a difference in my life....that's my house payment...so I would probably do one of two things...sock it away...or...put it a vacation fund...

6 foot I think? It's just normal size. The problem is, it's C O V E R E D in ivy and god knows what else. They're not just regular vines, they're tree trunk proportions. Basically it's disintegrated the fence and made it bloody hard to remove all at once!

Same here!!! The fence guy that came to quote yesterday said he would take away all our ivy that's in the way, but we'd have to cut a tree branch that's in the way ourselves.
He told me I could have a fence about 2m if I want, for privacy.

Maybe wee could go halves in a vat of roundup!

I think I'm going to grit my teeth over summer and try to remove it myself.

The other problem is, that next door (over the back) has a dog. They're renters (share house) and seem pretty unmoved by the whole fence issue. If I get rid of the vines, then suddenly I have a Doberman to contend with.

Just a pain in the backside really.

we don't have a doberman to contend with, thank goodness whew , just an old cocker spaniel over the fence, but I think our neighbours are also renting, so I will need to speak with their landlord hmmm I'm afraid either our kids or theirs will hurt themselves on this fence. Their kids are always climbing up onto it to hang over and talk to our kids. Our dog gets through the gaps into their yard boxed

I'd always hoped when the old couple who used to live there sold up, they'd knock it all down and build 3 units and put up a huge new fence for us, otherwise we'd never have left it this long doh!

Yeah, I think fences tend to be one of those things that constantly get pushed down the priority list.

I'd like to say 'to hell with it' and get someone in to do the whole thing. But then $ is the issue.

Anyway, what fence? cool
