her hairline is not depleted. she got a fivehead. lol

and her face is not aging well...less makeup would be better.

then she could pass for 10-15 years younger like I do.

Is that a wig? I ask because that front scalp section looks suspect. and the hairs look like plugs. I have only my eyes to rely on and they tell me that hair be a jacked up front lace. Could be one of those weave caps gone wrong or a full on wig that has shedded past it's prime. hmmm

wait til you're damn near 40 to make a stand on beauty standards mad

Tyra lets her 'real' hair down
Tyra Banks revealed her "real hair" today on the season premiere of The Tyra Show, which now airs on The CW Network at 4:00 p.m. Tyras Banks: "I feel like it's my responsibility to redefine true beauty, so I've shown myself with no makeup and now I'm showing my real hair - and it's all because I want more women to be proud of who they are...inside and out."

Tyra, who entered the studio with dripping wet hair, also invited studio audience members on stage to touch and feel her "real hair" during the taping to ensure it was in fact real. disbelief
By the end of the show, her hair stylist Oscar james had given her a cute curly 'do minus about three inches and she looked just fine.

I'd like to see the episode when Tyra is Happy To Be Nappy but instead she begins her season showing off thin, processed hair. What a way to kick off the season! I think Tyra woke up happy she still has hair.

I don't get why people are bugged.
She said she was gonna kick off by walkin out without a weave (real hair). She did.
I don't remember reading any promos saying she was going natural on her curl, or not gonna wear makeup or anything else.I say I don't remember reading because I don't even watch the talk show. I've seen it maybe 3 times.
But I don't miss Model. lurking

People just won't be happy till she come out lookin like Oprah in Color Purple. Lawd.

Is it because of Chris Rock's documentary coming out about black women's hair?

eek It looked so thin. Plus her hair line looks depleted. I think she's been wearing weaves for too long. The scalp needs to breathe.

I used to edit a lot of Tyra's film when she worked for German advertsing clients years ago (we were both pretty young then), she's always had that mega-hairline.

I agree she looks lovely. But Diana's head musta got cold real quick.
She kept it wig/weave free for how long?
Maybe long enough to take that pic?

Diana's huge weave/wigs have always been part of her iconic image.
And who got on her ass about that???

Where did Tyra say she was going to be a pioneer in any way or change the world by taking her weave off.
She's known for havin a big ol' weave on her head, she said Imma take it off for a minute for some ratings, she did. End of story.

It's the public making the big deal out of a "nothing" hour of daytime tv. lol

I ain't said nothing about Tyra being a pioneer or anything. My question is WHY is this news or ratings-worthy??? Why are the women in the audience losing their minds as if she performed some great act of courage or bravery??? And why does SHE think it's such a big deal when it ain't??? confuse

Looks like they are just having light-hearted fun really lol

My mother pulled off her wig during Christmas dinner 2 years ago and my family is still talking about that crap disbelief She was trying to prove how "down to earth" she is, since she has a rep of being stuck up in our family.

It worked, but I was praying for her to put that crap back on!
If you will, so will I

Because people put it all over the news and people tuned in to watch.
And here we are having this discussion.

We talk about all kinds of BS, but that still doesn't explain why the audience and others in public are going on as if she cured cancer or some shit. shrug
