Thanks to my wonderfully generous and thoughtful brother, I finally have a blue angel. I've always wanted to know how it felt to play, how it sounded amplified and just to look at it up close. It's even better than I imagined. The neck is very slippery. The sound of it is so crisp and clear it's insane. And plugged in it's even better. I've never played a guitar that sounds this dynamic and I've owned about 6 others and played countless more. It's awesome. The blue cloud guitar is my favorite one he's ever used. I never wanted one for collector's purposes, or to try to auction it off or to be showy. I just love Prince's guitar sound and wanted to see if playing one of his guitars would help achieve that. It has, and I'm thrilled.

Now my bro has continued the family tradition of giving eachother instruments for Christmas. Last year I got him a keyboard. He's been playing piano since he was about 8 but has never owned an instrument of his own. From one musician to another, it felt cool to be able to give him that. And this year, I tried to get him a bass guitar. I was looking for yellow or orange, his favorite colors but couldn't find any. And all the ones I checked out were too normal and run of the mill for his taste. Hopefully I'll find something suitably funky for him in the future.
