Diva! Sorry to hear about the heat. Sounds unbearable. It was a bit dry here today, but so much nicer than the constant rain. I wish I could be prancing about campus in skirts like the rest of the girls but I'm fighting off a sickness and my body wouldn't hear it. shake

Unbearable is the word! The sun is great... it's the humidity that kills me...

As for you being sick... awww... hope you feel better damn quickly... especially since the rain has stopped... it just aint right! sad

Aside from it being a matter of public record, my middle name is now available to anyone with WWW access, because Indiana put its attorney license database online. So, my middle name is:

Wentworth

My father's family follows the practice of giving ancestors' last names as middle names--it seems to be more common in New England (where I was born) than in the Midwest (where I live now).

The Wentworths were a prominent family in colonial times, and supposedly the name was originally a title bestowed by William the Conqueror. Since the Norman Conquest happened in 1066, I figure it's at least 900 years old.

Do I like it? Yes. I used to dislike it, but I changed my mind after I found out why I was given it and after I realized that it's unique.

Nonetheless, my full name is quite a mouthful, so for business purposes, I just use "Matthew W. Conrad." And everyone who actually knows me just calls me "Matt" (a few people have even asked/assumed that my legal first name is simply Matt, which it isn't.)
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.

You should be living in an old English manor.

My middle name is Buhat.

That's my mom's maiden name from the Phillippines.

I used to dislike it when I was a kid but now I love it
because it represents my family and my culture.

I have two--one which means God's Mercy and the other which means Praiseworthy.

Didn't really like them until I grew to understand their meanings and could see how they illustrated certain things about my life experiences.

I hate my middle name Edwin.

Its been passed down to the first boy in our family for generations and when my father found out I was unlikely to get married and have any children he forced my sister to give the name to my nephew. Poor kid.
