Nah, not at all.

Even if you were, you and your wife are scandalously hot
and could get away with treating me a bit unkind... well, within reason.

mmm, it could be I have plenty of flowers growing outside potted an in beds in addition to the fresh flowers and live plants inside the house.
It could be that my interpretation of 'modern' is one that only exists during that period of time and I base my ideas on classical historicism which I feel is the true intentions of any design created by the master designers. An Emilio Pucci carpet would play well in the bedroom of Marie Antoinette.
maybe I like the style of a classy old lady lol

I'm coming to your house to steal stuff...

The Fornasetti skull plate, the side table in the first pic, and that Arco floor lamp for starters. smile

I'm located in the UK, so that's why it looks English smile I think the place dates back to the 1880s - my previous house was older, that had parts which were originally built in the 16th century!

No wall cabinets in the kitchen, we didn't want to spoil the look of the house with modern style kitchen units, so we just have cupboards under the sink, under the work-top etc.

This place took the better part of a year to renovate, I've got some pictures of how it looked before we bought it - I'll see if I can dig them out smile

Haven't figured out how to apply multiple quotes, so for everyone else, thanks for the comments (not for sale at the moment though wink)

Is that a Castigliani lamp and a Barcelona table? L love Barcelona chairs (even if they are a bit common these days, I think they are comfortable), but the tables - not so much. I always bump my shins on them. lol
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

real Barcelona chairs are comfortable and weighty. I love LOVE love them.
I hate HATE HATE that they have been knocked off so much. It infuriates me.
Same as the Eileen Gray daybed. I love it, but I hate that its been knocked off to oblivion. neutral

the title mid-century modernism makes me cringe.
the early designers Josef Hoffman, Gio Ponti, Mies, Eileen Gray, Parzinger, Jean-Michel Frank, Paola Buffa wouldnt want much to do with that title. IMO
not much came from designers after them. Eames would be mid century.

I made a video but my computer is being an asshole and won't let me download it yet. Maybe later...

Here are some pics. I live in 2 story home built in 1893. It's approximately 1888 square feet. It has 4 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, a den, a second kitchen and a second floor laundry room. It needs lots of work.

My Disgusting ass kitchen:

My Dining Room:
Note: I did not paint this room or have anything to do with the ridiculous border.

Living Room:

Den:

Half Bathroom (First floor):

Second Kitchen:
Note: My house was originally a duplex so there is a second kitchen. I've been using it as a bar area but lately it's a storage room. The tube in the corner is the return air duct for my central air conditioning. It will be boxed in soon.

Bedroom #1: The Lavender Room

Bedroom #2: The Main Bedroom (Under construction)

Bedroom #3: The Craft Room (Under construction)

Bedroom #4: The Elmo Room

The Laundry Room (Second Floor):

Bathroom (Second Floor):

I have a walk up attic that I hope to make into liveable space one day. No pics of that though. I'm scared of my attic because it's been known to house bats!

I think that will be a nice selling feature. Not many can say they have an Elmo room. But then again not many would want to say they have an Elmo room.

I'd made an Elmo wall hanging that would have gone perfectly in there, but I gave it to the salvos the other day, if I'd only known doh!
