I just preordered a horror movie called Last House on the Left and Im wondering if anyone on here have seen. I havent but I did read that it was a remake and that it had a very disturbing rape scene that was so sick that it had people leaving the theatre during the scene. I also heard that its the best Horror movie of 2009 so far.

i didn't get to see it when i had the chance, but it's touring now and i hear melissa gilbert actually plays ma ingalls! i've read good things about it.

I saw the original from 1972, and it was disturbing, so I don't know if I want to see it. I noticed it's ON DEMAND, but I couldn't bring myself to order it.

above average remake--not on on the cringe factor of say "hostel", but definitely better than most horror films of late. worth a rental, hope for an uncut version (like the hills have eyes

I watched it on-line...thank god i could fast forward & the ending was sooooo STUPID....i pretty much hated it..not b/c it was violent..but b/c the story was idiotic & pointless.

Today is the day!

i finally got my dvd yesterday! i love the movie. Very realistic and a few graphic scenes and it was about two hours long.

will see it saturday

I'm in the minority in that I thought the original was WAYYY overrated. For those who've seen it: Is the remake any better?

yeah there is. I didnt c wat was so disturbing about. they didnt even show the womans body ,just the mans ass and her face telling 2 stop. Nowhere disturbing as the rape scene in Rob Zombies Halloween which more graphic.

We watched this tonight.

I have to say that overall, this has been one of the best recent horror flick remakes. It really borders on being better than the original.
I do prefer the Sadie from the original to the new one, but that is not so much about the actress as it is probably about the new script and how she was directed.

My only real gripe with this movie was very last scene.
It was just way too ridiculously over the top and unnecessary.
