Lovely Minnesotans help...

Hey there you lovely Minnesotans wink I'm heading to Minneapolis, (on the way home from going to Churchill to see polar bears:)) and I'm looking for recommendations of places to see, things to do. I'm only there for 3 days so any input is greatly received!!! I get there around 19 November(yep following last weeks party-I wish it had of been earlier ) but hey, I still get an oppertunity to play!!!. So I'd appreciate any tips, hidden gems or must-sees from the people who know.
Cheers.

Are you going to be in the downtown Mpls area, or in a suburban area? (I realize you can probably drive to another part of our town, but 3 days isn't much so I don't want you to spend all your time here behind the wheel.)

Hi Jillybean, thanks for the reply-thought this thread was quickly gonna slide off the page:)-anyway-I haven't actually booked any accom yet as the MSP part of the trip was last minute. I plan to check out good ol' expedia and the like in the next few days, prolly likely to be downtown area I guess.

Try Venere .com for hotels. I wasn't into Prince when i went to minni about 8 years ago, so didnt go to 1st ave etc. I heard the lakes are nice, but maybe they are frozen in november, it was freezing when i went in October. I only went for 2 days but would like to go back when the weather is warmer.
