I remember Commodore 64s back in the day used regular TV' for their screens and my eyes would tear up after about an hour of playing on it. That 2....good point.

Just because I CAN hook up my Windows PC to my 42" TV doesn't mean it'll make Windows any better... nothing can fix that shit!
However, it's gawjus for watching movies!! A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon

I have a huge monitor. I don't use it much for regular computer useage. Eye Strain. It's great to use sometimes with certain programs but I usually use my laptop.
I may get a 1080/lcd for protools/studio.

Overscan can be a real pain when connecting up to a TV, you can end up with either too much or not enough of the video on the screen. It can be a headache to sort too.
For a media centre, of course, I would recommend, as well as for occasional internet use, but as a main screen for working on - no way! "Sheeeeeeeeit"

Make sure you get a video card that can output to the native resolution of the screen you buy and that the screen is capable of displaying 1:1 pixel mapping. RIP

LED display is what you need.
I hook my iBook to my flat panel led to watch video via the web. I will never buy a traditional desktop computer ever again. I havent played with it, but I think my samsung LCD already comes with some applications installed on it and other web browsing features...unfgortunately I think its all PC based ( ) To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

computer monitors have sharper/different specs than tv's for the purpose of diplaying fonts and edges clearly. That's why a good computer monitor is more expensive than a tv (per inch)! My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid
