At home, I always keep the blinds shut, the curtains drawn over them, the lights off and the shades on my eyes.

When I was younger, I read "Salem's Lot" by Stephen King. The scene where the boy was floating outside the window trying to get his brother to let him in freaked me out for a LONG time! eek I slept with my back to the windows! lol

I used to have bad sleep paralysis and see things floating around when I woke up...Hypnogogic Images. I used to run into my moms room a lot...and she would yell at me like crazy. I sometimes would feel pain, but I can't move to snap myself out of it.

I'll say that I don't like the dark lol But I'm not completely afraid of it biggrin I do sleep by the light of the tv though (sleep timer). I feel like mine stems from childhood, I was literally forced to watch scary movies w/ my older sis b/c she didn't want to watch them alone. I was way young too, it just stuck w/ me. I don't watch scary movies to this day! lol

hmmm

maybe..
i know that i used to hate sleeping with my back towards the rest of the room..if i had a bed where one side was along the wall..i would sleep with my back to the wall..
i remember MANY times being scared awake by the sensation that sometinhg walked uo to my bed and touched my back (when it was out to the room)
and it wasn't a light touch either!!
neither was it ever any of my family
they were always asleep...
i would be so scared to move..
and yeah..
on that feet NOT being covered up..
whenever they are not covered.....
i am ALWAYS awakened in the night by something tickling them... eek

You sound like me - I wasn't always afraid of the dark until this entity/ghost/spirit that is in my house started touching me at night.
Last week, it grabbed my toes so hard, I sat straight up in the bed and when I did, i saw a figure of a man in a hat walk by me - i was scared shitless and thought someone was in my house. Just the other night, it grabbed them again and laughed. I posted about this before, it's been going on for a few years now.
I have to have the TV on low and won't sleep with my feet or hands out side of the covers.

Thanks everyone! biggrin I have the house to myself AGAIN tonight... so, hopefully, I won't be a nervous wreck. redface I have my barricade ready. lol

I was thinking about this last night: there's a Pet Shop Boys song called 'We All Feel Better In The Dark'... weirdly, and I've always thought this, in public I always feel a lot more confident at night time. It's when I feel alive, almost; and able to walk around without worrying what anyone thinks. I'm definitely a night owl. Put me inside a dark building, though... it's a totally different story. shake Weird!

So, you have a ghost in your house with a foot fetish. Have you ever caught him sucking your toes? I'm thinking it's an old boyfriend who never left the house. Check the basement and the attic good wink

I sleep with a lamp on in the kitchen and bathroom. I will not sleep in my house with all the lights off and my sheets MUST be tucked in at the foot of the bed.
