Man slaps stranger’s crying kid

This is just wrong.....

A Gwinnett County man is in custody Wednesday accused of slapping a stranger’s crying toddler in a Stone Mountain Wal-Mart.

Just cruel and terrible-

...but.... people really should not drag their children out shopping when they are tired and or hungry- thats cruel as well. I work with children all day- when I go shopping I can't tolerate a screaming child- I will walk away from my cart and leave the store

..when I do have kids I vow to not drag them around on my errands ...i'll find a teen-ager or family member to sit with them for a couple hours- I baby sat as a teen-ager for a family who did not believe in that either...it's just as cruel as spanking them
LOVE HARD.

You know, I understand both sides of this. Yup, I agree that dragging a kid out when they are tired and hungry should be avoided at all times, however, there are times when a toddler just goes off with no warning. Then what? Just leave and not get anything done so as to not bother other people?

So you have to hear a child cry for 10 minutes, but don't have to put yourself out in any other way?

Please. rolleyes

if your toddler is going off with a screaming tantrum for more than a couple of minutes- yes you should excuse yourself to the bathroom or outside to your car. NO ONE should be asked to hear that mess.

I pray before I board each flight that I won't have to be subjected to a child screaming for 10 15 20 minutes at a time-

now if the child was injured then compassion would kick in- but a tantrum- NO

would you listen to a song that you hated on full blast for that long?...

...just my rant..... razz
LOVE HARD.

If things like this upset you, I'd hate to see you have to deal with real problems. lol

Listen, no one likes to have to hear loud annoying anything, but when it's involving a parent that is just trying to get some errands done, while dealing with a child that is suddenly losing their shit...and you see that they are trying...I sure as hell don't look down on the parent and am also understanding that these things happen.

A little bit of noise pollution like this is not gonna make me pissed off or ruin my day.

i hear you- it doesnt ruin my day- more like nerve wrecking and by the same token parents should be courteous to others

it just like seeing a toddler pull pants down and piss in the isles because they are being potty trained- who's fault is it? should I have to tolerate it?? NO

it's nerve wreckin
LOVE HARD.

Wow, you think it's bothering you imagine how the parent feels. You don't think it's embarassing for us when our kid gets out of hand in public???
Not everyone has the option to leave their kids w/ a babysitter when they have errands to run. Lucky for those that do. LOL this is insane to me, people just act like your 2 year old should "know better" be "better trained". Give me a break. Sounds like discrimination to me.....

WTF, someone ought to slap that guy! That's just cruel and totally unnecessary! disbelief Maybe the kid was tired and/or just not feeling well.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Kids screaming and crying in public used to annoy the hell out of me. All that changed when my nephews came along, and now it doesn't bother me anymore. When you're around it enough, I guess you just get used to it.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

LOL, every future parent says that, along with the infamous "MY child will NEVER have a snotty nose!"

Good luck, if you accomplish either of these things then you'll be the first parent in history that did!

Even threatening to slap someone's child is uncalled for. That old prick wouldn't talk so tough if the kid's father was there.

like I said- I work with kids everyday- take them on field trips, ects- infants toddlers pre-k- and if one of them was having a screaming tantrum it would be time to step out to the restroom- or minivan- I would not stay there and let that child crack someone elses nerve- now it's understandable when you take yourself to kid places- but at the store and in the mall- NO yours, mines, anybody's should not be allowed to tantrum out for an extended period of time and subject it to everyone else trying to shop in peace

kids are not perfect and occasional crying and screaming even- is tolerable if it stops after a few minutes

why is this so hard to wrap your mind around

NO ONE WANTS TO HERE IT IN WALMART OR ANY OTHER PLACE OF SHOPPING!!!!!- AND THEY SHOUDN'T BE EXPECTED TO BE OK WITH IT.-

dude-yes it happens but dont automaticaaly think its ok- just like that fool hitting that child- that wasnt ok
LOVE HARD.

It's not my choice to bring your kid into my shopping (or DINING mad) experience.

Restaurants should have separate sound-proof "family" rooms. lol

I LOVE when people that don't have children say what they will and won't do once they have them. lol

You're gonna be eating your words on stuff. I promise. And if a crying kid bothers you that much that you'd leave the store then I say don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I agree you should try and avoid taking a kid out when they're tired or hungry, but life is just not that simple sometimes.

If you're in a store and your kid is hungry, it's very simple to grab a snack bar off a shelf pop it in the kids mouth (keep the wrapper and pay for it of course). Folk don't just run into stores with cryin kids to pick up something quickly. Some do leisure shoppin and they tune out their kids.
I've seen folk tryin on clothes and shit.
That's just some bullshit.
