I'm just coming back online because my computer was infected by some malware virus called Windows Police Pro which hijacked all of my settings and froze up my computer. It was trying to extort money from me to stop the virus from working. I eventually found a way to remove the virus manually from my computer, but my computer is still messed up because of it. If you're wondering why I didn't just use an anti-spyware program to get rid of it, I have one on my computer, but it hijacked those settings as well so it wouldn't run.

System Security hijacked my other laptop a few weeks ago. That crap is everywhere so be on alert! It is some nasty shit.

There's a few of these dodgy programs going around lately and they are bloody annoying. My brother managed to get one on of our PCs and it did some bullshit scan coming up with over 10000 "virus" 99% of which I know are not and then as you said trying to extort you for money. Luckily it was a very simple program to get rid of but I really could do without the headache of stupid people not knowing how to use the internet safely

Uuuugggghhhhh! I'm still having these stupid virus issues. I was able to remove the Windows Police Pro virus from my computer last Thursday, but it came back the next day. It took me two more days to get rid of it again, and I found out which trojan file was allowing it to infect my computer and remove it, but now I can't open my Firefox and Google Chrome browsers, and my Safari browser shuts off due to errors after a few minutes. I also can't seem to open any Google-related programs online like Blogger or Google Maps without my computer freezing up.
