True Blood 2.12 "Beyond Here Lies Nothing" *SPOILERS* Okay, no spoilers yet because the show hasn't aired.
I may not be back right away to discuss the season finale and I didn't want the conversation to be delayed. I can't wait to see this show! What am I going to do for a True Blood fix? Hell, the next book isn't even due out until May 2010! Oh well, guess I'll have to settle for watching "Big Love" I'm firmly planted in denial

Does the show return in January? Whenever it is, it will still be too long of a wait. Looking forward to the finale. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

All season long, I haven not been able to watch the show during its Sunday airing. I've been watching it via HBO On-Demand (no I don't have a Tivo).
However, the wife & I are gonna do our best to have the kids in bed in time to catch it tonight (along with the season finale to Hung). By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Okay, what's with the scars and sores on the Queen's skinny legs?! Looks like she shaved with a butter knife.
There are too many things to comment on right now! I'm overwhelmed! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

Yeah he was and I can't wait for next season to see wth happened to Bill I doubt they'll kill Bill. I hope Sookie comes to the rescue of him for a change. Poor Tara can't have nothin', it seems. She gets messed up every which way. At least the final episode had some good laughs, even if it didn't have too much suspense. I loved seeing Lafayette in the white dress!

Okay, it's official: I'm bored with their asses. I thought it would improve but it didn't

The middle was pretty bland.....the part right after the ritual was over. What was up with the howling when Sam came back as the bull? Bulls don't howl. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

You know that's gotta be Queen (still totally UN-fab ) ordered since we now know she's the one making Eric sell the V. [Edited 9/13/09 23:18pm]

The kidnapper had gloves on - could it be Eric since he can't touch the silver?
This shit was stupid, I'll still watch next season but they need to step their game up to keep drawing people in I wonder if the guy who plays Sam realized he'd be showing his ass damn near every episode Poor Eggs, you know somebody had to die. Tara can't have shit

Last night I couldn't comment. I couldn't really decide if I enjoyed it or not.... not.
It seemed like they just tried to tie up all the story lines, and nothing really flowed... like Sookie casually mentioning Barry the bellboy. Does that mean he's coming back next season? And Eric was just stuck playing Yahtzee with the Queen with the terrible skinny legs? I thought it was stupid that Andy managed to be "immune" the ENTIRE season, but fell under that spell right before the ritual. My sister called, and by the time I rushed her off the phone... Was it explained how Sam & Bill knew to have him turn into that bull? Okay, I'm frustrated! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

[Edited 9/13/09 23:18pm] I'm gonna guess that it's Bill's maker who kidnapped him. She's totally unhinged and wants him back, and since Godric's gone, there's nothing stopping her from coming back. And doesn't she still have Barry the bellhop? That could be the way they finally bring him back.

I have really mixed feelings about the show, mainly the series overall this season.
This episode was so hit and miss. Some of it was so funny it had the 4 people watching, for whom this was the only episode they've ever watched, laughing out loud along with those of us watching that watch it all the time. Then there were parts where we were all like, "We like this show why???" I love Sam, but was getting frustrated with him having to be dragged into the rescue. However, that did give Bill a chance to shine. How about Bill in that suit for the restaurant scene??? *SPROING* Sookie is on my last nerve. She really is not as irritating in the books. I think it's the "Anna Paquin" effect. Whatever character she plays has to be (A) Super annoying because she is and (B) God's gift to the show/movie because she is looked on as such a superior actor Win one damn Oscar when you're a kid... The whole wedding ritual ran on too long and was corny as hell. Some of it was hilarious but some of it was boring to the extreme. If they'd cut out Maryanne's monologue where she goes through all the "god's" names and all ad nauseum, cutting to the chase quicker, that would have been better. I also had to laugh that everyone had clothes on for the wedding, except Sam in the end of course. Sam is nice to look at in the buff though. *SPROING* That quick little set up of Eric and the Queen was lame. Only getting to see Eric for a few minutes was WTF was up with Jessica????? That storyline is all too brief and, I'm amazed I'm saying this, it's the best storyline of the show. They are breaking my heart, seriously! I can't wait to see where they go with it next season, unless AB decides to lame-up that storyline to! The absolute saving grace of that episode though was the one liners. "God bless American jeans. Girl, I swear, I would wear him like a scrunchy!" "So, we got her?" Jason "Mama, while you were away, did you see Rene?" "No, I didn't. He must still be on vacation." "Yep, he's dead." "Worship him bitches!!!" I'm already in True Blood withdraws. I'm hoping the show will start up again in April/May. Maybe sooner I'm firmly planted in denial

I have to say that I was a bit dissapointed.
It was slooooow. And the END!?!?! Come on now. I mean, it was cool in the sense that you don;t really know WHO may have taken Bill (Eric? Lorena? Fellowship of the Sun?) but honestly...a marriage proposal? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

I just think that the PREMISE of Sookie & Bill getting married is a bit "hokey". ...and btw: did anyone else think that it was weird/inaccurate for Sam to have reverted back to human form with his ARM deep in Maryanne's chest, when the bull impaled her with its horn and not its front leg???
