Screw getting significantly better. I'd be content for the economy to turn around and business to get better - so I don't have to worry about just maintaining the status quo. confused
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I need help in teaching my guys to respect women. A friend of mine is coming to that exact dilemma at the moment. Her boys have learned from the attitude of their father confused she is currently shaking up her family and re-educating them that SHE IS NOT THEIR SLAVE.
I don't want that to happen to me! I need to lay some good foundations in self-sufficience NOW. Boys grow to resent and disrespect their mother if, when they come to the age where they need to differentiate themselves, they are so utterly dependent on her. Back in the olden days men had coming of age rites, and hung out with older men that taught them stuff. It's just not like that now

when I was a teen I was the same way. I thought the way to be a real man is
to be a womanizer...had no respect for woman at all...lucky enough I grew out of
it...in time

just lead by exsample...don't ever take any type of out the norm remarks or attitude...nip all that in the bud ASAP...even though there are no older men
to teach them that stuff. You are a more than qualified substitute...and more power to your freind...

I'm not a single mother, they have a dad who should be leading by example, yet he constantly undermines my authority mad and I feel helpless and stupid. He doesn't seem to understand this is WHY our kids pester him constantly for a second opinion about everything, he is the softie more likely to say yes, totally disregarding what I have already told them! pissed
Funnily enough, he had a very strong mother himself who took no shit from him - I guess that speaks volumes about his own father, who backed her up and doled out the punishment she promised him lol

Good to know that it's everywhere lol

Today a lady cut across four lanes of traffic and cut me off to get a paper...then after pulling off, slammed on the brakes to cuss out the newspaper man because "there were no coupons in the paper" rolleyes

are you studying art or something related?

I've started studying architecture this year because I thought it would be a perfect solution - being able to express myself artistically and also satisfy OCD tendencies but I just don't think it's for me sad

Don't know what to do hmmm

wave Morning LadyKitten!

Hey, I studied Architecture for 3 years. I'd always wanted to do it but realised quite early I didn't have the talent for it. I stuck with it as long as I could but another 4 years to qualify was just too much. If you've got the talent it's a fantastic career. Stick with it - I'm an accountant now, surely you don't want that instead?!
