I always wanted a dog....they are like little kids. They like to cuddle up with you, play with you and they just want your attention.
Cats...they seem moody, bossy and it seems they want their own space most of the time. If you have a cat(s), what do you love about them? I love cats though...

The curiosity element is so adorable as well.

A pastor friend of mine once joked during a sermon that God made dogs to stroke our egos and help us appreciate how important and intelligent we are. And when that worked a bit too well, God later found it necessary to make cats... to put our egos back in check.

Cats are aloof, I love that about them. I like their, "I don't need you; you need me" attitude. They can be demanding, loud, shed all over your furniture/floor/carpets, but they are still darn loveable. When they brush up against you when you come home, or jump into your lap and start to purr and knead at you, it makes the frustrations that a cat can sometimes cause all worthwhile.

Two funny things I've heard about cats that are funny and true:

"A dog comes when you call him. A cat will take a message and get back to you."
"You don't own a cat, a cat owns you".
