Here's something to add to the topic. Within the last five years, somehow I would end up in an argument with a dog lover, because I reveal that I adore cats, and instantly I get bombarded with questions. "How can you like cats, they don't do anything or protect you like dogs"? Or they try to convince me that I must become a dog person. I practically get interrogated for perferring cats over dogs.  I don't even like to argue especially when it's not necessary. When I try to shut the issue down, dog lovers act like they won a war. Just respect my preference and I'll respect yours. So the claim that cats don't do anything to protect you is not necessarily true.RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |
