did i miss something? did he die?

He has more or less after some serious health problems in 2003-2004. He seemed to be in such a good shape prior to that though.

He has released music almost non-stop from the late-60s, so the fact that there has been no new material in 6 years really signals something.

62.

He recovered, but just decided to take it easy due to having also had a child recently with his wife. We've also been made to believe that he went through a period of not really being interested in "being David Bowie" anymore.

He had been a chain-smoker most through his life, and a drug addict / alcoholic for at least 15 years. In fact he had quit smoking just a few years before his heart attack and was also exercising - the latter part I think he might have overdonw to some degree, since he had never really been into it at a younger age. I saw him on his last tour - I was close enough to the stage - and for a 57-year-old / former junkie he looked just absolutely stuninng. So it also took his fans by surprise.

Nothing beats spooning or couch cuddling while you take in the scent of their cologne and brush up against that cashmere sweater mushy mushy and on a cold rainy night? Even better:cloud9:

I miss not being in pain - my kidney stent hurts and I have an infection
I miss having the energy of a young child
I miss waking up and looking forward to the world with innocent eyes
I miss going out to play
I miss my grandchildren
I miss my Dad's cuddles
I miss my Mum tucking me in bed at night

I will leave this post now as I am feeling a bit down now and teary eyed - fed up with the pain and want to be pain free.

Chronic pain for many years - how do you bear it? You are wonderfully brave and patient - I have had this problem with kidney on and off now for 5 years this is the most serious and have had it now for 3 weeks (yes weeks!!!) I shall take a leaf out of your book and buck my ideas up and stop feeling sorry for myself.

Well, I always feel sorry for myself! lol Ok not so much now, but when it was really bad, yes. Nerve damage in my back and neck and then recurring ovarian cysts and endometriosis.

I've heard kidney stones can be the worst pain ever. In fact, when I went into the ER two years ago in agony, they thought at first it might be kidney stones. It was ruptured cysts, but I imagine the pain can be similar. Hang in there! hug
