would u pay $2.7 million dollars for this house?

9 1/2-foot wide home, dubbed NYC's 'skinniest' house, on sale for a fat $2.7 million

The townhouse, built in 1873, is 9.5 feet wide and 42 feet long and is billed as the narrowest house in New York City. But there's nothing small about its asking price: $2.7 million. NEW YORK (AP) — It's 9½ feet wide and 42 feet long and is billed as the narrowest house in New York City. But there's nothing small about its asking price: $2.7 million.

Located at 75½ Bedford St. in Greenwich Village, the red brick building was built in 1873, sandwiched between 75 and 77 Bedford.

It's famous for other reasons, too. Corcoran real estate broker Alex Nicholas says anthropologist Margaret Mead and poet Edna St. Vincent Millay once called it home.

The three-story structure boasts plenty of light with large windows in the front and back, and a skylight.

The current owner bought it in 2000 for $1.6 million.

Nicholas says it's a place for someone who wants a little history.

It´s not really that expensive considering that it is a very historical building right there in Greenwich Village,NYC. I would have expected a much higher price.

I have seen a similarly skinny house , I guess it was in Amsterdam or Rotterdam.I´m not sure.

I adore Manhattan as much as the next person, but for my personal tastes I would simply need more bang for my buck.

It is pretty cute, if a bit too..."cozy."

I might be able to pull this off as a bachelor. But I couldn't live with another person in that crib.

It reminds me of this beautiful apartment/flat/house(?) in Amsterdam. Herman took me around the neighborhoods. I feel in love with this one!
