I seldom come to the Org anymore and don't like to post my personal problems either on here...but my mom is very sick and has been for over a year now

She is in the hospital now for the 7th time this past year and has been through a mountain of tests and they still do not know what is wrong with her..

She is getting weaker and weaker...so i am posting this thread because it cant hurt right?

i can certainly sympathize. I hope she gets better. Maybe research her symptoms on your own to see if you come up with anything that the doctors may have missed. Because she is older, they might not be so inclined to run a full battery of tests or consult a specialist. It could be anything from an allergic reaction to a damaged organ. Be her advocate.

I agree with Desiree (she's a lovely one, that one!) do some research yourself (but don't get too freaked out or hung up on the worst case scenario). My baby daughter has been having heart problems and it took for me to google and suggest a diagnosis (Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome) to really start getting anywhere.. same thing happend when my eldest was misdiagnosed with a skin condition - turned out that she had MRSA, but it was ME that suggested it. I think I missed my vocation!
