It loses all dramatic effect if you cuss your boss out and then have to pack your stuff up while he's standing there watching then you have to sheepishly leave your badge and do the walk of shame with your sad lil box while folks are either or Much more effective to take them totally by surprise and leave everybody like "What the fuck happened????" Extra points if you can work in tossing loose papers in the air as a final flourish. I swear SCNDLS could have her own reality tv show.

I'm busy, working my hustle, got a shitload of drinks memorized and ya'll fools want me floating around with a goofy grin on my face to make YOU feel better. Kiss my damn grits! That's exactly what I wanted to say I mean I'm giving shots, putting in foleys and dealing with people all day and you want me to be Ms. Congeniality on top of that What the hell!! well, sometimes the emotion your'e attempting to portray has a positive effect on your actual emotion. I know it's not the same but when I worked in a call center, even though the fool couldn't see U cuz it was a phone call, your bss expected U to be smiling....cuz it's a phone call but the smile still translates. I'm sure smiling, them scowling over and over ain't good and makes it easy to slip...so they just want U to stay smiling....maybe u'll get used to it. question....do y'all get irritated when pain med fiends bug U for their pain meds/shot/push....or are ya'll just like whatever?

So, each week we've gone to at least 2 really nice restaurants and I'm trying not to eat myself into a coma. Last night, we went to The French Room and tonight it's the Mercury Grill. Here are my dessert options with wine pairings for tonight (I think I'm going with the Butterscotch Brownie ): Pineapple Cake With Caramel Sauce Poema Cava, NV, Penedes Blackberry Cobbler With Cinnamon Ice Cream Lustau East India Solera Sherry, NV, Spain Chocolate Amaretto Souffle With Toasted Almonds Warre’s Otima 20 Year Tawny Port, NV,Portugal Butterscotch Brownie With Walnut/Vanilla Sauce & Praline Ice Cream Poema Cava, NV, Penedes

But if you work either with the public (like retail) or in public relations, I think a cheerful (not crazy-happy ) personality is important. My two cents... or maybe 3 I don't think it makes a difference whether you work in an office enviroment or working with the public... it's all the same thing. I think what gets a lof of people in trouble or standing still career wise is, they never grasp office/job politics. Like or not personality or the lack there of has and does play its part. For all the talk about being qualified, I'm a hardworker, I do my job or whatever... people have a tendency to give breaks, the benifit of the doubt, promotions to people they like or feel comfortable with. You can't and don't walk alone. I do understand the point of view of this thread. For one I miss the formality of workplace. The black slapping and calling people whom you don't know by there first names is an illusion that we are all friends. My work and business life are one thing my friends, famliy, and personal life are another, never the twain shall meet. Having manners and being cordial helped maintain civility and backed people up.
