Bad to eat an unripe banana?

Is it bad to eat an unripe banana? It's just that I was eating one and someone yelled in my face. I asked them if it was wrong but they didn't reply....

Actually, I think that eating a banana that's too green can give you a really bad case of indigestion.

In Spanish I'd tell you that you could get "empachado" - but I don't know how to say that in English besides; "really-bad-indigestion-with-body-aches-and-pain".

Eating unripe bananas can be harmful because they contain proteins that inhibit amylase, an enzyme that digests complex carbohydrates. Plus aren't they really tuff when they are unripe.
