Casio Keyboard:

Had to stop taking lessons because of my financial situation (and because I didn't like my music teacher). But once my financial situation improves, I'm going to resume learning how to play this thing.

If you really wanna learn then you can, and put your mind to it. Although I can't really envision that for myself. Never took lessons cause as far back as I can remember my dad has synths and keyboards around.

So you're self-taught, like Prince. That's awesome that you were able to do it on your own, without having any formal lessons.

Yeah for live gigs! It's the motif xs 8 so it has some more keys but the rest is the same. smile I love "one last cry" also!

Yep. I always remember it's a gift from above, I will never take credit for it. this way you'll think less and just follow wherever the talent takes you. smile

That said constant practice is essential.

Yes, it definitely is a gift from above, no doubt about that. nod Practice makes perfect, as they say, and believe me, once I find a decent music teacher, I will be practicing a lot.

Saw this in Guitar Center today and might pick it up this weekend, once I get the Squier in my hands.

I've never seen a fretless 8-string before, so naturally I want it.

Thank you. biggrin And thanks for all your help. I've been learning tons of stuff.

The only thing I hate is there was such a limited selection of left handed basses.

You are welcome. I didn't know you were a southpaw. smile Even as you go up in price range the selection by the major manufacturers is limited. But not to worry, once you've started slapping that bass around like Bootsy....you'll wanna get yourself a custom/handmade eletric bass guitar. biggrin Surprisingly they are cost competitive with the top end stuff of major manucaturers build.

Enjoy, it's a journey and but it's so rewarding.

Nice guitars! What is the last one? It kind of looks like an acoustic guitar, but there is no hole in it. giggle

My brother played acoustic guitar, and I heard it a lot in my house growing up, so I really like the way it sounds. Although I tend to like the way all guitars sound anyway. I'm not too picky. guitar yay!

Thank you. It's a Merritt David R. he's a friend of mine a hobbist. It's an acoustic archtop hybrid it's light as a feather, has a sound port (hole) on it's left-side of the guitar. Has a "fuller", sound than traditional acoustic archtop. It's the best of both worlds archtop look but with more of an acoustic guitar sound.
