And to answer: Anything from previous decades when men actually put effort into their appearance. Most guys' idea of getting done up now is an untucked button down shirt with their jeans. Not that that's not easy on the eyes, mind, it just doesn't count as dressing nice.

I'm a big fan of the 1930's/40's trenchcoat and fedora over a 3 piece suit look. Think Dick Tracy, with less yellow. Or Johnny Depp as John Dillinger.



Even though it was sort of a glossy look at early 60's style, I really like the style of the men in Hairspray. Looking pretty sharp.

I want to wear a fancy June Cleaver apron while I clean and vacuum my home in heels and pearls.

And he died in 1986 - so good luck hearing him now.

* Bowlers (although I'm gonna single-handedly bring 'em back this fall/summer)
