I'm not even that terribly sure if "universal health care" is a system that works that well anymore in most countries. In today's climate, the public health care centers are just forced to cut down on costs and itroduce "more effective" alternatives for tried-amd-tested treatments, which more or less has at places resulted in a near-catastrophical situation as far as for example people's mental health issues go.
I went to complain about what I suspected was a case of diabetes last spring and I just nearly got prescribed anti-depressants. "So you're feeling constantly tired and lacking energy in overall? You must be bipolar then".In my case me own decision to renew my diet, exercising and taking a break from the more stressful matters did the trick though. I don't even want to think about what would happen would I need a surgical operation or something. [Edited 8/25/09 12:17pm] | |
